We’re looking for an experienced Data Leakage Protection (DLP) Engineer to join a leading enterprise security team and drive the strategic implementation of DLP solutions. This role focuses on leveraging the Microsoft E5 security suite to deliver high-impact results without unnecessary complexity.
You’ll be responsible for assessing the current security landscape, defining a realistic and effective DLP roadmap, and collaborating closely with incident response and forensic teams. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft security tools and a knack for balancing risk, resources, and real-world needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess current data protection capabilities and identify improvement areas.
- Design and lead the implementation of a DLP roadmap based on Microsoft E5 tools.
- Prioritize initiatives based on risk, available data, team capacity, and business impact.
- Avoid overengineering by implementing practical, value-driven solutions.
- Work closely with incident response and forensic teams to align tooling with operational needs.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal stakeholders and security teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience implementing Microsoft E5 DLP tools in a large-scale environment.
- Strong understanding of data protection strategies and security best practices.
- Ability to critically assess tools and features, focusing on what brings real value.
- Clear communicator with experience training or guiding technical and non-technical teams.
