Senior Data / Power BI Consultant - Hybrid near Paris (h/f)

Are you a Senior Data / Power BI Consultant with experience designing intuitive reporting solutions and improving data quality in low-complexity environments?

emagine has an opportunity for you to drive the design and delivery of a critical reporting solution, ensuring reliable decision-making through improved data structure, user experience, and governance with a global team.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience with Power BI and reporting solution design.

• Good knowledge of cost control systems

• Proven ability to structure ambiguous requirements into clear delivery plans.

• Experience improving data quality, consistency, and governance.

• Strong understanding of data modelling and transformation.

• Ability to design intuitive user experiences for non-technical users.

• Experience working in environments with manual data inputs and process variability.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills in English and French.

• Comfortable working autonomously and driving delivery.

The Opportunity

There is a well-defined but under-optimised cost reporting setup, where the core challenge is not the technology, but ensuring consistency, usability, and trust in the data.

The current system is functional, with clear process flows, but manual inputs and infrequent usage are introducing inconsistencies, leading to unreliable KPIs and reduced confidence in key business decisions.

Your role will be to bring clarity, structure, and guardrails, transforming the solution into something that is intuitive, consistent, and dependable.

Main Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end solution design and delivery.

• Define and structure data inputs, transformations, and reporting outputs.

• Design a user-friendly, intuitive experience suitable for infrequent users.

• Introduce validation rules and guardrails to reduce manual input errors.

• Develop a clean, scalable data model to ensure consistency of outputs.

• Deliver Power BI dashboards and reporting layers.

• Improve data reliability and trust in KPIs.

• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into structured solutions.

• Drive alignment on reporting logic, metrics, and outputs.

This is a primerally remote engagement with on-site visits for kick-off, workshops and solution presentations.
