Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team, focused on developing innovative AI solutions. This role demands extensive experience in data engineering, with the ability to design and maintain robust data pipelines, architectural models, and data quality frameworks. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing data environments, and staying updated with emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in modern data technologies and a passion for driving excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build best-in-class AI-enabled features.
• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
• Data Architecture & Modeling: Optimize data models that support analytical workloads and machine learning applications.
• Data Quality & Reliability: Implement tools to ensure high data quality and reliability.
• Tooling & Infrastructure: Integrate modern data technologies to enhance the data ecosystem.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote best practices and contribute to the evolution of data standards.
• Stay Current: Maintain knowledge of emerging data technologies and industry trends.

Key Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining data platforms or large-scale data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools, such as Airflow.
• Expertise in Python and experience with SQL, Scala or Java.
• Experience with data modeling and management concepts, including both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in managing cloud-based data infrastructures (Azure Fabric).
• Knowledge of modern data engineering frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
• Experience with microservices and APIs, particularly GraphQL and REST.
• Understanding of AI/ML data needs and MLOps workflows.
• Knowledge of streaming data systems, such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Experience working in Agile environments, specifically SCRUM.
• Familiarity with project management tools, such as JIRA or Trello.

• Cloud certifications.
• Proficiency in French is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
