Senior Data Engineer in DataSaurus Team

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Team DataSaurus within the Value Optimization Engine Platform. The primary focus of this role is to support the estimation and calculation of values for offshore wind farms, ensuring optimal decision-making throughout the lifecycle of the assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Azure Data Factory, T-SQL, and cloud-based data warehousing, working collaboratively to deliver data analytics and solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

• Develop a cloud data warehouse within an Azure environment to process financial and engineering data related to wind farms.

• Cooperate with business stakeholders and product owners to address ad-hoc needs and define the backlog.

• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines.

• Develop T-SQL code for data transformation.

• Ensure data availability optimized for security, stability, and performance.

• Collaborate closely with front-end developers for the Power BI reporting layer.

• Set up monitoring and orchestration for data pipelines.

• Work with application developers to establish data contracts.

• Support future cloud provider changes by migrating resources from Azure to AWS.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory.

• Proficiency in T-SQL and SQL-based transformations, preferably on Azure Synapse.

• Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling and medallion architecture principles.

• Experience in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Proactive, curious mindset with a strong interest in Agile methodologies and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory (Dataiku is a plus).

• Familiarity with code repository software, preferably Git.

• Exposure to DevOps practices, preferably Github Actions.

Other Details:

The position is based in Warsaw, Poland, with a requirement to work on-site at least 2 to 3 days a week.

Remuneration 155-175 PLN/h
