Senior Data Engineer / Databricks Developer

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Databricks Developer. The ideal candidate possesses robust experience in building scalable data solutions and implementing data quality frameworks. A proactive approach coupled with the ability to manage end-to-end delivery—from design to implementation—is essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities

The consultant will play a role in the project, focusing on the following key responsibilities:

• Design and implement a Databricks-native Data Quality Monitoring framework.

• Configure and implement DQX-based data quality rules

• Develop data pipelines and models supporting monitoring and reporting

• Create dashboards and trending views for business users and data owners

• Establish linkages between data quality rules and critical data points

• Document technical design, rule logic, and operating model

• Support scaling of the solution to additional Clinical data domains

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks

• Experience with Spark, SQL, Delta Lake, and Python

• Experience in designing and implementing data pipelines / ETL-ELT

• Proficiency with data quality frameworks, preferably DQX

• Understanding of data governance and rule-based data quality monitoring

• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Experience in complex enterprise environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments

• Familiarity with clinical operations or life sciences data

• Experience in dashboarding and business-facing data quality reporting

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps / CI-CD

• Experience with integrations and APIs

• Snowflake experience

• Understanding of Veeva or related clinical systems
