Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (NOT Data Scientist). In this role, you will leverage your strong technical and analytical competencies to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure and pipelines for large-scale ML and Mathematical Modelling products within an MLOps environment. Working alongside Data Engineering and Data Science colleagues, you will contribute to a product team, collaborating with diverse professionals to deliver digital solutions that enhance data utilization and improve the lives of individuals with chronic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-based data infrastructure and data pipelines.

• Collaborate with a product team in the development of ML solutions.

• Utilize programming languages to build robust data frameworks.

• Ensure adherence to software development standards and CI/CD practices.

• Conduct database management and migrations effectively.

• Write Infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.

• Maintain positive team dynamics alongside diverse roles.

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 6-8 years of experience in data engineering focused on cloud infrastructure.

• Proficiency in SQL and programming in Python.

• Strong knowledge of data engineering technologies and tools.

• Experience with API integrations and ETL/ELT processes.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-code practices.

• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or medical fields is advantageous.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to working with LLMs and Agentic AI Frameworks.

• Experience with DBT, Azure, and Spark.

• Prior work in the pharma industry.
