Senior Data Engineer - Teradata

Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Factory team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines within a banking environment. The role requires strong expertise in data processing, ETL workflows, and legacy data ecosystems, with a focus on reliability, performance, and collaboration within agile teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes

• Work with large-scale data environments using Teradata and Ab Initio

• Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance optimization

• Manage and schedule workflows using Control-M

• Contribute to documentation, architecture, and technical design

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Data Factory

• Participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Requirements:

• Strong expertise in SQL (Teradata)

• Experience with Teradata environments

• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio

• Experience with Control-M (job scheduling)

• Solid knowledge of Unix environments

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices (basic level)

• Experience with collaboration tools: Git, Jira, Confluence, MEGA, Zeenea

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Datastage

Other Details:

Full-time position with a hybrid working model, requiring a minimum of 2 days/week on-site. The role is situated within a dynamic banking environment.
