Senior Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to support a critical data and reporting initiative, working closely with the architecture team and an existing Power BI developer.

This role will focus on addressing current performance challenges and designing a scalable, robust solution across Azure, Fabric, and Power BI environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the architecture team to assess the current data and reporting landscape.

• Identify performance bottlenecks related to data access, report usage, and concurrency.

• Define and design a scalable architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.

• Support and guide the existing developer in implementing best practices.

• Evaluate data volumes, usage patterns, and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability).

• Recommend and help implement improvements across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.

• Ensure governance, security, and performance optimization standards are applied.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior Data / BI Architect.

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.

• Proven experience solving performance and scalability challenges in BI environments.

• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and data pipelines.

• Experience with large-scale data volumes and concurrent user scenarios.

• Ability to translate non-functional requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in FMCG or large enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with governance frameworks and enterprise data platforms.
