Senior Data & AI Engineer — Microsoft Fabric & RAG

We are looking for a Senior Data & AI Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to support Line Coach, an AI assistant used in brewery production environments.

What the role involves

• Building Microsoft Fabric pipelines to ingest and structure data in Fabric workspaces.

• Ingesting data via Fabric Shortcuts to ADLS and from SharePoint (manuals, procedures, documents).

• Preparing, chunking, and vectorising unstructured content.

• Storing and querying embeddings in Azure AI Search.

• Designing and improving RAG pipelines and prompt engineering for operational AI agents.

Required experience

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Pipelines, Lakehouse, OneLake, Shortcuts).

• Practical experience building LLM-based RAG systems.

• Experience with Azure AI Search (vector and hybrid search).

• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, and document retrieval.

• Python and/or SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service.

• Industrial, manufacturing, or operational data experience.

• Agent-based or workflow-driven AI systems.
