Senior Cloud Engineer with Cross-System Perspective

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer with a cross-system perspective to join our Cloud Operations and Engineering team. The team is responsible for the operation, development, and continuous improvement of the Client’s cloud infrastructure and services.

The Cloud Engineer with a Cross-System Perspective plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services, directly contributing to operational excellence within a team focused on the financial sector.

Main Responsibilities:

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot cloud services to ensure high availability.

• Manage and administer the cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, policy governance, and security.

• Automate and optimise cloud operations using tools like Azure DevOps.

• Maintain a high-level understanding of the technical landscape and communicate this to the team.

• Provide guidance and support to other teams based on your technical insight.

• Resolve incidents and service requests from cloud development teams.

• Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders.

• Maintain documentation of the cloud environment, processes, and procedures.

Key Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Significant experience with Azure (5+ years), including virtual networks, database administration, virtual machines, and PaaS services.

• Experience in cloud architecture and technical leadership.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex setups clearly.

• Fluent English (written and spoken).

• Experience in operating cloud infrastructure, including management and optimisation.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Enterprise Scale and Cloud Adoption Framework.

• Sector knowledge within finance, pensions, energy, or banking.

• Relevant certifications in Azure or cloud technologies.

• Ability to work independently with a structured approach while also being a team player.
