(Senior) Backend Developer (with data pipeline emphasis)

To be a successful candidate, we expect you to have a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with broad software development, i.e., system architecture, coding for scale, and communicating possibilities for what can be built and maintained, as well as a love for experimenting and building MVPs.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend components that support data processing.

• Maintain existing data pipelines to ensure efficiency and reliability.

• Collaborate with data scientists to improve existing models and pipeline performance.

• Create detailed technical documentation for code and workflows.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team learning.

• Build scalable and reusable backend systems.

Key Requirements:

• BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant field.

• 5+ years of experience with Python.

• Experience with data pipelines.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with one or more AWS services.

• AWS DevOps CI/CD Pipelines.

• Familiarity with relational databases.

• Experience with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch.

• Knowledge of graph databases (e.g. Neptune or Neo4j).
