Senior Azure Cloud Specialist

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Specialist to join the team in Warsaw and help improve cloud support. You will be part of a team of over a dozen employees, including external consultants, supporting network infrastructure.

About the Team

In this role, you will closely collaborate with the Cloud Engineering team (responsible for governance, security, architecture, and design) and an external company handling daily support operations. Your goal will be to reduce the number and duration of major incidents, optimize resources (people, servers, licenses), and improve support for other IT and development teams. Work is conducted in a hybrid model – at least 2 days per week from the office.

Responsibilities:

• Advanced understanding of Azure technologies, virtualization operations, and cloud governance with a focus on automation, analysis, modification, and testing of cloud services.
• Design, build, implement, and maintain automation to optimize virtualization platform costs, identify and remediate security risks, and ensure compliance across the cloud platform.
• Identify, verify, and remediate inconsistent configurations.
• Implement proactive audits and health checks to ensure comprehensive and reliable monitoring.
• Develop, improve, and maintain automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Utilize source code management tools (e.g., GitHub) to manage the code lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and analyze problems.
• Prepare technical documentation, including software design evaluation plans, test results, and technical manuals.
• Seek new and better solutions.
• Communicate core platform concepts to technical teams and management.
• Identify and pursue self-improvement opportunities in both technical and non-technical skills.
• Take initiative to address necessary tasks without being asked.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure (AWS, GCP is a plus).
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Ability to use scripting languages and APIs for cloud automation.
• Experience with “Well-Architected Framework” principles, infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform), and Agile development methodologies.
• Working knowledge of JIRA, DevOps, and CI/CD principles.
• Experience in an international work environment.
• Skilled in daily IT management.
• Experience in IT operations planning and control.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level, spoken and written).
• Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.
