Senior Azure Cloud Engineer (part time)

Workload: Part-time

Location: Remote from Poland, occasional business travel possible

Contract: B2B

Rate: 185-200 PLN/h

Summary: The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and improving our client’s Azure environment, focusing on networking, automation, and collaboration with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Azure networking elements such as VNETs, peerings, NSGs, and Azure Firewall.

• Collaborate with teams involved in data platform, BI, and AI.

• Analyze and organize the setups independently.

• Maintain daily cloud operations with an emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep.

• Ensure the Azure Landing Zone architecture meets business requirements.

• Configure access controls using Microsoft Entra, RBAC, and PIM.

Key Requirements:

• Deep understanding of the Azure cloud platform.

• Solid networking skills with experience in VNETs and cross-region networking.

• Hands-on experience with IaC tools, specifically Terraform or Bicep.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.

• Comprehensive understanding of identity governance, including RBAC and PIM.

• Master's degree in a relevant field (IT, Math, Physics, Chemistry).

• Strong communication skills for documentation and presentations.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure Landing Zones.

• Designing Azure policies for compliance and governance.

• Familiarity with FinOps and cost optimization strategies.

• Data-oriented Azure technology stack expertise.
