Senior AWS IAM Engineer

Are you a skilled AWS IAM Engineer looking for a new challenge? At emagine, we are seeking an experienced freelance consultant to manage and secure AWS environments through effective Identity and Access Management (IAM) practices. Your expertise will help our clients enhance their cloud capabilities while underpinning security and compliance. We are looking for professionals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, committed to driving innovation and efficiency in the cloud.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead IAM operations and service requests for internal stakeholders.
• Design, implement, and manage AWS IAM policies and configurations.
• Ensure compliance with internal security protocols and external regulations.
• Conduct regular audits of IAM configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IAM integration.
• Monitor security risks and leverage assessment tools for compliance.
• Utilize automation for efficient IAM operations.

Key Requirements

• Strong understanding of IAM policies, roles, and permissions.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience managing IAM policies via GitHub.
• Familiarity with IAM Identity Center.
• Ability to integrate third-party Identity Providers using SAML and OIDC.
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
• Working knowledge of AWS security features.
• Understanding of data protection mechanisms in AWS.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data encryption methods in AWS.
• Understanding secure internet protocols in AWS.
