SAP SAC Planning Consultant - Oil & Gas

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant with strong domain expertise in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end SAC Planning solutions, including design, implementation, and optimization of planning models aligned with upstream, midstream, or downstream business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver end-to-end SAP SAC Planning implementations

• Design and develop planning models, stories, and dashboards in SAP SAC

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions

• Implement financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and what-if analysis models

• Integrate SAC with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, or other data sources

• Develop data actions, allocations, and advanced formulas in SAC Planning

• Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and governance

• Provide support for UAT, deployment, and post-go-live enhancements

• Work closely with Oil & Gas business users (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations) to align planning solutions with industry requirements

• Document functional and technical specifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) with a focus on Planning

• Proven experience in at least 1–2 full-cycle SAC Planning implementations

• Strong knowledge of planning concepts: budgeting, forecasting, allocations

• Hands-on experience with:

  • SAC Models (Planning-enabled)

  • Data Actions & Advanced Formulas

  • Version Management & Calendar

• Experience integrating SAC with:

  • SAP S/4HANA

  • SAP BW/4HANA or BW on HANA

• Strong understanding of financial processes (FP&A)

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Oil & Gas or large-scale project environments (preferred).

• Location: Muscat, Oman (onsite)

• Contract Duration: 4 - 6 Months (with possibility of extension).
