SAP Program Lead – Carve-Out

emagine is supporting a global organisation within its M&A function on a business unit carve-out, and is looking for a senior SAP Program Lead to take full ownership of planning and delivery.

This is a high-pressure, deadline-driven programme where success depends on building a robust, realistic plan and executing against it without deviation.

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in SAP programme delivery

• Proven experience with SAP carve-out / separation projects (essential)

• Strong SAP knowledge (R/3 environment), with the ability to engage across modules (FI/CO, MM, etc.)

• Experience working with functional and technical teams end-to-end

• Strong planning mindset – able to build and enforce realistic, executable plans

• Experience in M&A environments or high-pressure transformation programmes

• Confident in governance forums (SteerCo, senior stakeholders)

• Fluent English (French nice to have)

The Opportunity

You will join the M&A team to prepare and execute the separation of SAP systems for a business unit carve-out. The environment is complex, global, and time-sensitive, requiring strong leadership, SAP expertise, and rigorous planning.

You’ll work closely with SAP functional experts, technical teams, global business services, and vendors (including SNP) to ensure a successful separation.

Key Tasks & Deliverables

• Own end-to-end planning of the SAP carve-out, ensuring timelines are realistic and committed to M&A leadership

• Lead a cross-functional SAP team (~20–30 IT + wider business stakeholders) across modules (FI/CO, MM, etc.)

• Translate functional requirements into technical delivery alignment with SAP and engineering teams

• Coordinate UAT activities with Global Business Services

• Manage delivery with external partners (incl. SNP for carve-out execution)

• Drive governance, SteerCo updates, and stakeholder alignment

• Track costs, risks, and milestones with precision in a fixed-deadline environment
