Summary

The role of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Developer is vital for enhancing master data processes and ensuring data quality across business and IT domains.

Location: Pune

Mode: Hybrid

Main Responsibilities

• Support SAP MDG solutions (workflow, data models, change requests, validations, derivations, UI).

• Configure and develop MDG objects and processes (ABAP/OO, BRF+, Enhancements/BAdIs, User Exits, UI, etc.) based on predefined designs.

• Conduct unit tests and produce technical documentation to maintain code quality.

• Manage integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems (ECC, CRM, middleware).

• Collaborate with IT team, solution owners, and consultants for requirement clarifications and resolving issues.

• Provide L1/L2/L3 support and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure stability.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP MDG (configuration and development).

• Experience with BRF+, MDG workflow, and data replication/integration concepts.

• Solid understanding of master data processes (governance, lifecycle, data quality).

• Good knowledge of SAP data models and tables relevant to the domain(s) (Material).

• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across business and IT.

• Fluent in English.

• 10+ years of experience in relevant roles.

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional SAP modules beyond MDG.

• Knowledge of advanced analytics tools for data governance.

• Project management experience in data-centric projects.
