Our client is an established technology partner for the banking and fintech sector, delivering solutions across core and open banking. Their platforms support key banking areas such as:

• customer management

• deposits and accounts

• lending and credits

• payments

• e-banking and identification services

They also provide solutions within card services, mobile payments, and capital markets.

The role

As an RPG Developer, you will join a team working on important banking products and services used across the Nordic market. You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and improving solutions in a secure and business-critical environment.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in RPGLE and IBMi, combined with hands-on experience in banking systems and a good understanding of secure integrations and modern development practices.

Your responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPGLE

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions

• Build and optimize database-related functionality using SQL

• Support and maintain secure communication standards, including encryption, TLS/SSL certificates, and SSH

• Contribute to the architecture and continuous improvement of banking-related solutions

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with stakeholders in an international environment

• Support integrations using IBMi MQ and, where relevant, REST APIs

• Produce clear technical documentation and ensure high code quality standards

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of professional experience with RPGLE

• Strong knowledge of RPG, SQL, Encryption, TLS/SSL certificates, SSH, and IBMi MQ

• Good understanding of IBMi architecture

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira

• Very good command of English, both spoken and written

• Domain knowledge in banking, especially within deposits/accounts

Nice to have

• Experience with other programming languages beyond RPG

• Knowledge of REST APIs

• Previous experience in fintech or large-scale banking environments
