Quality Assurance Engineer - French fluent - Remote (Portugal-based)

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Functional Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate will be familiar with complex web environments, such as e-commerce and multilingual platforms, and has a thorough understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies and Supply Chain business processes. Candidates with an ISTQB certification will be given preference.

Main Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest level of service quality across all company applications. Key responsibilities include:

• Execute functional tests to ensure quality standards are met.

• Analyze business requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Prepare test data for execution.

• Document testing activities and results.

• Produce test progress reports.

• Report and track defects using a ticketing system.

• Facilitate business workshops.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Development Teams, and Business Stakeholders.

• Propose solutions to defects and quality issues.

Key Requirements

• +4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance

• Strong experience in functional/manual testing

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)

• Solid understanding of:

  • QA methodologies and testing lifecycle

  • Test design and execution

• Experience with:

  • Jira / Confluence or similar tools

  • SQL for data validation

• Ability to understand complex business processes (experience in Supply Chain is a strong plus)

• Strong communication skills and stakeholder interaction

• Fluent English

• French fluent (mandatory).

Nice to Have

• Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium)

• Basic knowledge of:

  • Java / JavaScript

  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX, Infor)

• ISTQB certification
