QA Software Tester – Life Assurance / API Testing

We are looking for an experienced QA Software Tester to join an international project and support the QA Integrations team. This is an opportunity for a strong, independent QA professional with proven experience in API testing, Azure-based solutions, system integrations and Life Assurance or Financial Services environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute test cases for API, integration, UAT and regression testing.

• Test system integrations across complex environments.

• Perform API testing using industry-standard tools, frameworks and techniques.

• Test Azure platform-based solutions.

• Support testing of GPT prompts and related system integrations.

• Work with SQL and databases to prepare, validate and analyse test data.

• Seed and integrate data within test environments.

• Create and maintain testing standards for API and automated UI test cases.

• Collaborate closely with QA Lead, technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Take ownership of larger testing tasks and deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Recommend and implement testing improvements, tools and industry-standard practices.

• Work effectively under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.

Requirements

• IT degree or equivalent technical experience.

• Minimum 6+ years of experience as an IT Tester in complex environments.

• Direct experience testing Life Assurance products or working within a Life / Financial Services company.

• Strong, proven experience in API testing.

• Recent and demonstrable experience testing Azure platform solutions.

• Experience with GPT prompt testing and system integrations.

• Expert understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, databases and test environments.

• Experience with test automation, integration testing, UAT and regression testing.

• Experience with API testing tools and frameworks.

• Experience working in Agile environments close to business stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently under the direction of a QA Lead.

• Strong ownership, problem-solving skills and ability to deliver under pressure.
