Platform Engineer for M365 Sharepoint & Teams RFP-247203

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer specializing in Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint and Teams, to serve as the Level 3 (L3) authority within our service domain. The successful candidate will act as the final escalation point for complex operational issues, managing the health, stability, and continuous improvement of the service while ensuring operational KPIs are met. This role requires strong technical expertise and a proven background in enterprise collaboration platforms.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as the highest escalation point within Operations for complex SharePoint and Teams incidents.
• Ensure day-to-day stability, performance, and reliability of SharePoint and Teams services.
• Develop and maintain operational knowledge base, troubleshooting guides, and support documentation.
• Lead investigations for recurring or high-impact incidents and perform trend analysis.
• Collaborate with various teams to manage incidents and support change activities.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, especially:
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Teams
• OneDrive for Business
• Proven experience in L3 / senior support or operations engineering role for enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across M365 workloads.
• Experience working with ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
• Ability to analyze logs and telemetry to diagnose complex issues.
• Experience maintaining runbooks, KB articles, and support documentation.
• Good understanding of service reliability metrics.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell for automation.
• Experience in enterprise, multi-geo, or large-scale environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Purview for SharePoint/Teams.
• Experience with Intune / Endpoint Management for Teams and OneDrive.
• Knowledge of Defender for Office security.
• Experience with Power Platform integrations.
• Exposure to migration projects.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Scripting beyond basics with PowerShell and Graph API.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications.

Other Details

This position is based in Pune and follows a hybrid working model (3 days a week in the office). The work hours align with the CET Time zone.
