Nutanix Resident Engineer - Turkish Speaker

Summary

The Nutanix Resident Engineer/Consultant role aims to enhance customer experience by providing expert support and guidance in deploying and managing Nutanix products. This position focuses on driving product adoption, troubleshooting complex issues, and serving as a trusted advisor to customers while mentoring junior team members.

Main Responsibilities

• Assess current usage of Nutanix products (core and portfolio) and drive adoption.

• Understand Nutanix best practices, architecture, and engineering problem-solving skills to present options to customers.

• Ensure good customer experience by effective administration and support of the customer's existing Nutanix environment, covering:

• Installation and configuration of Nutanix core products.

• Upgrades and patching.

• Migration from 3-tier to Nutanix.

• Cross hypervisor migrations (e.g., ESXi to AHV).

• Proactively monitor alerts and remediation.

• Troubleshoot performance and availability issues.

• Capacity planning & reporting.

• VM lifecycle management (creation, deletion, cloning, snapshots, etc.).

• Collaborate with Nutanix support for advanced troubleshooting.

• Participate in planning and execution of DR drills.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the customer while providing guidance on Nutanix best practices, reference architecture, and validated designs.

• Guide and mentor junior team members on day-to-day Nutanix administration.

• Liaise with Nutanix support and/or 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.

• Leverage Nutanix products and features to automate administrative tasks.

• Collaborate with the Nutanix Sales Team in identifying and communicating new opportunities as well as ongoing customer status and reporting.

• Keep the customer well-informed by providing status reports on projects and updates to software.

• Conduct PoCs for Nutanix portfolio products.

• Train and enable customer resources.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system administration and virtualization technologies.

• Excellent knowledge of Nutanix AOS/AHV and/or Hyper-V / VMware ESXi or other converged/hyperconverged platforms.

• Ability to independently analyze and diagnose highly complex problems across different platforms.

• Customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills.

• High level of comfort performing whiteboarding sessions, group presentations, and other customer-centric documentation.

Nice to Have

• VMware certification such as VCP or VCAP.

• Nutanix NCP certification.

• Experience with workload migration, both P2V and V2V.

• Understanding of storage technologies and data protection technologies (replication, snapshots, backup, restore, etc.).

• Exposure to automation and scripting (Python/PowerShell) to automate tasks.

Other Details

• Contract Duration: 12 months extendable.

• Language Requirement: Turkish Speaker.

• REMOTE role.
