Nutanix Cloud Architect

Summary

We are seeking an Architect to aid in defining the organization’s cloud and infrastructure requirements, assess application migration strategies, and identify automation opportunities. This role is crucial for ensuring that the organization's cloud strategy aligns with its business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Cloud Strategy & Assessment: Collaborate with the Cloud Head to outline cloud adoption strategies that adhere to business goals. Assess existing applications and infrastructure for cloud suitability and recommend suitable cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

• Application Migration Planning: Partner with application owners to identify applications for migration and determine the best approach (Rehost, Refactor, Rebuild, Retire, Replace). Conduct cost-benefit analyses for migrations.

• Process Automation & Optimization: Identify automatable manual processes using cloud-native solutions. Coordinate with DevOps teams to deploy CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC).

• Own the end-to-end technical vision, guiding infrastructure and automation efforts to deliver scalable, secure, and sustainable systems.

• Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting: Gather requirements from business and IT teams to align cloud initiatives with objectives. Develop reports to communicate progress and insights on cloud strategies.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud strategy or application modernization.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Nutanix, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Experience with cloud migration frameworks.

• Knowledge of application architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of cloud security and compliance.

Nice to Have:

• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

• Knowledge of AI/ML automation in cloud operations.

• VMware certification (VCP or VCAP).

• Nutanix certifications (NCP-MCI, NCM).

• Experience with workload migration (P2V, V2V).

• Project management skills.

Location: Dubai - UAE.

Team Structure: Leads a team of 5 members.

Tools/Methodologies: Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
