Network and Security Consultant (h/f)
Summary: The Network & Security Consultant will operate within a distributed infrastructure, focusing on enhancing availability, resilience, and cybersecurity. This role is pivotal in evolving network architectures, securing interconnections, and deploying technical solutions across multiple locations.
Main Responsibilities:
Advanced administration of firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, or equivalent) in on-premises and cloud environments.
Rule management, hardening, network segmentation, application filtering, SSL inspection.
Detection, analysis, and remediation of network security incidents.
Participate in the deployment and go-live of new network & security solutions (SASE).
Implement new sites, migrate legacy architectures, modernize LAN/WAN, deploy Zero Trust segmentation.
Contribute to major projects: SD-WAN, micro-segmentation, secure Wi-Fi enhancement, etc.
Produce high-quality documentation: project docs, procedures, operational guides, failover plans.
Handle Level 2/3 support for complex network and security incidents.
Ensure operational continuity for infrastructures (switching, routing, Wi-Fi, VPN, security).
Maintain configuration consistency across all sites.
Key Requirements:
Strong expertise in network security and firewall administration.
Solid command of routing & switching: VLAN, STP, OSPF/BGP (preferred).
Deep understanding of multisite architectures and WAN interconnections.
Proven experience deploying end-to-end network & security solutions.
Mastery of monitoring tools, flow analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
Minimum 7 years in a Network/Security engineering role.
Hands-on experience delivering technical projects, ideally in multi-site environments.
Other Details:
Location: Remote work possible.
Travel: One trip per month (2 days) to Clermont-Ferrand expected.
