About the role
As a Merchant KYC Analyst, you support effective and risk-based merchant onboarding and ongoing due diligence processes. You assess risk for new corporate clients, manage ongoing CDD for existing merchants, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to independently evaluate complex corporate structures.
You take ownership of your cases, document clear risk assessments, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across commercial, legal, compliance, and technical teams.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct CDD for new corporate merchants and manage ongoing due diligence.
Review and verify CDD documentation using internal and external data sources.
Analyse business models, ownership structures, and flow of funds.
Perform sanctions, PEP screening, enhanced due diligence, and adverse media checks.
Maintain accurate customer profiles and escalate identified risks when required.
Communicate with internal teams and, when necessary, directly with merchants.
Key Requirements
2+ years of experience in corporate or institutional KYC / CDD.
Experience in regulated environments such as banking, payments, or financial services.
Strong understanding of EU regulatory requirements.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable making risk-based decisions.
Independent, structured, and accountable.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
SQL knowledge is an advantage.
Other Details
This position is available for a contract duration of 3-6 months, with an anticipated start date of ASAP. The role will require a presence in Stockholm, with a hybrid working model that includes 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
