MECM and Linux Server Administrator

We are seeking a consultant to join our Configuration & Patch Management Team, aiming to integrate both Microsoft and Linux technology stacks into a single full-time role. The primary focus will be on Microsoft server configuration, patch management, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM), while also encompassing Linux server experience. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in automation, particularly within the Microsoft environment, utilizing tools like Intune and Automate. The position will involve optimizing processes for Microsoft and Linux environments, taking into account best practices and compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Configuration and patch management of Microsoft servers.

• Management of Microsoft Endpoint devices.

• Assisting with incident response and software deployment.

• Supporting Linux server patch management.

• Development of compliance policies such as ISO 27001.

• Knowledge transfer to departmental staff.

• Implementation of new MECM technologies.

• Providing guidance on suitable patching tools for Linux.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server and MECM.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and Automate.

• Strong Linux server experience with Red Hat and Ubuntu.

• Expertise in patch management within an enterprise environment.

• Experience in software lifecycle management.

• Ability to create and manage device images.

• Solid knowledge of packaging and deployment of applications.

• Experience with Ansible for Linux patching.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with third-party application management.

• Understanding of compliance frameworks.
