Mainframe Analyst

• Location: Gdańsk/Gdynia/Warsaw - hybrid (2-3 days in the office)

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Mainframe Analyst with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mainframe technologies along with proven experience in requirements gathering and application documentation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Perform requirements gathering and impact analysis to support application maintenance.

• Document program changes and test results comprehensively.

• Support Application Maintenance teams with production incident resolution.

• Coordinate with Release Managers for deployment activities.

• Validate developer changes and ensure test outcomes meet specifications.

• Learn new tools and adapt to evolving technologies.

Key Requirements:

• Deep understanding of mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS).

• Proven experience in requirements gathering and impact analysis.

• Strong analytical skills for validating developer changes.

• Ability to document test outcomes comprehensively.

• Experience supporting Application Maintenance teams.

• Coordination with Release Managers for deployment activities.

• Eagerness to learn new tools and adapt to evolving technologies.

Nice to Have:

• Additional experience in related mainframe technologies.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies.

• Certification in relevant mainframe technologies.
