Lead Data Engineer (Insurance Industry Experience)

Summary:

The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the enterprise data architecture and data pipelines within the insurance industry. The primary goal is to support advanced analytics use cases through robust data management and integration solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise data architecture and data pipelines.

• Develop and optimize ETL and ELT processes for data warehousing, reporting, and analytics.

• Manage, transform, and integrate large datasets using Informatica IDMS.

• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and engage in performance tuning.

• Build data engineering solutions using Python for automation and orchestration.

• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements.

• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with data governance standards.

Key Requirements:

• 8–10 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.

• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC.

• Advanced SQL development and database performance tuning expertise.

• Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks.

• Proven experience in building and managing ETL and ELT pipelines.

• Experience with large-scale data warehouses and data lakes.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in the insurance industry.

• Knowledge of cloud data storage solutions.

• Familiarity with data governance tools and practices.

Location: Jeddah, KSA
Contract Duration: 12 months
Availability: Must be available to join ASAP.
Work Arrangement: Full-time onsite preferred.
Visa Status: Must have a transferable iqama and be currently in KSA.
