Junior NOC Engineer — Network & Security | Brussels

We are looking for a Junior NOC Engineer to join a 24/7 Network Operations Center in a critical IT + OT environment based in Brussels. This is a generalist NOC role: you monitor, troubleshoot and keep the network healthy across a wide perimeter.

We are not looking for someone who just runs commands. We want someone who actually understands what the network is doing and why. If you can explain spanning tree, network segmentation (switch and router level), and what a route is without reading from notes, this is for you.

Context

• 1-year mission, renewable, start ASAP

• On-site in Brussels: 3 months full on-site, then hybrid (3 on-site / 2 flexible)

• 24/7 operations, team-based

• Mixed IT and OT environment

What we expect (must-have)

• Solid routing & switching, CCNA level, demonstrable in practice (not just certified)

• Hands-on Cisco CLI

• Operational experience with Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls

• Backend tooling: monitoring, NAC, syslog, authentication

• Python (scripting / automation)

• A first relevant professional experience in networking

• French or Dutch, plus English

• Own car

• Stability: we want people who stay. Min 2 years per role on your track record, and a genuine 2-year commitment here. Job hopping is a no.

Nice to have

• IT / computer science background

• Exposure to OT environments

• Wifi and fiber fundamentals
