Role: Java Developer

Location: hybrid model 1 day office (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Łódź or Warszawa) / 4 days remote.

• At least 2+ years of experience in Java (as a Developer)

Project:

The input events are stored in Kafka. We are processing and enriching using other sources (again using Kafka, or gRPC, or direct DB access for legacy systems, and other solutions).

As data persistence storage, for now, we use OracleDB + Flyway however it is very probable that we will change it.

Since there are a lot of events to process we using Spark to process them. Right now we are using our own Spark Cluster, but we are in transition to Cloudera Data Platform. To create a code we are using Java. For testing we are using a lot Cucumber / Gherkin.

For CI/CD (CD to test environments) we are using Atlassian solution: Bitbucket / Bamboo. To keep infrastructure as code we are using Ansible. To provide us the input, business is using Jupyter Notebooks, that uses Python and again Spark.

We are also responsible for a few other Java services, that are using Spring (spring-batch / spring-kafka / spring-data) to process the data, those are hosted using Kubernetes.

We are using SAFe as our agile framework. Tasks are stored in JIRA and documents are located in Confluence.
