Java Developer (Kafka)

PROJECT INFORMATION:

Industry: banking

Location: Warsaw (hybrid model: 1 day a week in the office)

Remuneration: ~160 pln/h +VAT

Type of assignment: B2B

Detailed description of work task to be carried out

Tasks range from regular web development to more infrastructure due to the the core part of the platform being Kafka. We are offering Kafka as a Service to the bank and therefore there is an element of supporting internal clients with e.g. troubleshooting platform related issues. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years working with Java, Kafka, Springboot, Microservices, Rest APIs
• Solid knowledge of designing, architecting and building Kafka based solutions
• Hands-on experience in creating both Kafka producer and consumer applications
• Experience with data serialization formats such as Avro, JSON, ProtoBuff
• Experience with Kafka Connector & Kafka Streams
• Good understanding of Kafka infrastructure design

Good to have:

• Knowledge in DevOps tools such as JIRA, Bamboo, Maven, Git, Artifactory, Ansible, and Docker and similar
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
