IT Senior QA Engineer

The Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is proficient at working independently, leading some design discussions, and providing support to the Scrum team and other QA Engineers. The Senior QA Engineer is expected to begin honing their leadership and project management skills. The Senior QA Engineer is focused on dissecting complexity in order to deliver expert solutions to challenging technical problems, and their work has a project or team-level impact and can be assigned to one or two teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Automating any well-defined story on the team's sprint.

• Delivering new automated test projects from scratch.

• Managing open-ended problems and ambiguity in tasks and stories by proactively resolving blockers.

• Demonstrating proficiency in all relevant technical skills and moving quickly.

• Maintaining awareness of industry trends and tools and suggesting appropriate use cases within the team.

• Writing performant code:

  • Consistently following best practices and writing clean and maintainable code.

  • Identifying opportunities to reduce code complexity.

  • Cleaning up issues proactively.

• Reviewing codes.

• Documenting solutions and contributing to standards.

• Testing complex test strategies.

• Learning and development:

• Leading and coaching other QA Engineers.

• Agile/Scrum:

• Coaching the team to improve their agility.

• Partnering with the Product Management team:

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• At least 4 years of experience in software testing.

• More than 3 years of experience in test automation using tools like Unity Test Framework, Selenium, and/or Playwright.

• Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio.

• Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies.

• Proficiency in C# and web technologies.

• Knowledge of test management tools like Zephyr.

• Basic understanding of Docker and NoSQL databases.
