Work model: hybrid: 2-3 days a week from the office in Gdansk, the rest remotely
Rate: up to 200 PLN/h netto + VAT
Contract: B2B, long-term cooperation
Project length: 12 months + extensions
Recruitment process: 2 interviews with the client

We are looking for a highly experienced IT Continuity & Disaster Recovery professional to take full ownership of establishing and operationalising an enterprise-scale IT Continuity & Disaster Recovery capability within a large international organisation.
This is a senior / expert-level contract assignment with a strong hands-on delivery focus. It is not an advisory or supporting role. The selected consultant will act as the recognised authority and lead practitioner, responsible for designing, defining, implementing and embedding the full IT Continuity & Disaster Recovery framework across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Designing and establishing the end-to-end IT Continuity & Disaster Recovery framework.
Defining and authoring policies, standards, guiding principles and governance models.
Creating templates and artefacts, including continuity plans, recovery strategies, playbooks and test reports.
Building a clear, repeatable methodology for implementation, testing and continuous improvement.
Ensuring alignment with recognised industry best practices, including ISO 22301 and ISO 27001.
Leading Business Impact Assessments across IT/OT and critical business services.
Defining and governing RTO and RPO tiering models.
Designing system and service recovery strategies, including dependency mapping.
Ensuring recovery strategies are realistic, achievable and aligned with business priorities.
Embedding continuity and recovery considerations into architecture, solution design, delivery, change management and supplier governance.
Establishing a structured DR testing and exercising programme.
Defining success criteria, metrics, reporting and maturity assessment mechanisms.
Engaging with senior IT, security and business stakeholders.
Driving implementation across applications, platforms, IT/OT infrastructure and key third-party services.
Ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including NIS2 and GDPR where applicable.
Required Experience
Extensive hands-on experience in establishing and operating IT Continuity & Disaster Recovery frameworks in large, complex IT environments.
Proven experience building continuity and DR frameworks from the ground up.
Strong practical knowledge of IT resilience, continuity and disaster recovery.
Experience with Business Impact Assessment methodologies.
Strong understanding of RTO / RPO definition, validation and governance.
Experience designing and managing DR testing and exercising models.
Strong understanding of relevant standards and control frameworks, including ISO 22301, ISO 27001, NIST and NIS2.
Ability to operate with high autonomy, ownership and accountability.
Ability to lead through expertise and influence.
Fluent English, both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor.
Experience working in highly regulated or international enterprise environments.
Experience covering both IT and OT environments.
