IBM Mainframe Developer - Payment Integrations area

emagine is looking for an IBM Mainframe Developer for the Payment Integrations area to one of our nordic banking clients.

Start date: 2026-02-16

End date: 2026-08-15
Location: Flexible Stockholm or Helsinki (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Developer needs to be skilled senior to be able to:
1) Implement the planned changes using his/her technical skills and
2) co-operate with the other members and stakeholders.

Must-have knowledge and experience:

Key Skills: Mainframes - COBOL, JCL, IMS/DB2

-Strong Mainframe Programming experience with COBOL/JCL/DB2/IMS.

-Excellent Design and development skills in above mentioned technical stack.

-Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role.

-Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

-Demonstrated problem-solving skills & able to independently solve technical problems.

-Creative, Quick learner and excellent team player and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:

-Knowledge of Java/Mainframe Integration (IMS,JCA) would be nice to have.

-Knowledge of Authentication/Authorization methods using Hash functions (SHA-2)/ Security Tokens would be a plus.
