Introduction & Summary

The Fullstack Developer will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Sample Management Application (SaMa). This web-based platform is critical for managing biological samples used in research and development. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of Python, front-end development, and database management to contribute effectively.

Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will lead the development of SaMa’s frontend tech stack, ensuring the effective implementation of new features and high-quality code delivery.

• Lead development and enhancement of SaMa’s frontend tech stack.

• Implement new features such as advanced ordering, sample tracking, and analytics.

• Collaborate with product owners to align solutions with business needs.

• Maintain architectural consistency and deliver high-quality code.

• Establish rapport with wet lab scientists and collaborate closely.

• Support integration with the Mosaic sample management system.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience in front-end development (Vue is beneficial but not essential).

• Advanced Python experience is a must, with knowledge of other languages as advantageous.

• Strong understanding of software architecture principles.

• Database and SQL (Oracle) experience is a benefit.

• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.

• Experience with sample management workflows.

Other Details

This role involves close collaboration with laboratory environments and may require frequent onsite presence to interact with scientists. The position plays a crucial part in maintaining data integrity and operational efficiency within research labs.
