Frontend Developer to gaming client

As a member of the design system team, you will have the unique challenge of creating and maintaining UI for our design system named Ore UI, which empowers teams to seamlessly implement their creation using our components in our game.

Start: June

Contract Length: 18 months

Location: Stockholm on-site minimum 2-3 days per week

As a Frontend developer you will work with modern web technology to develop the UI. The player experience is central. You will work closely with designers to make sure our vision is being followed and implemented in the right way. Effective communication with other teams, PR reviews, and attention to detail on other team’s implementations are important day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities 

• Work in a highly collaborative team and environment.

• Work with designers and other developers to create or improve existing components.

• Work within an embedded JavaScript environment.

• Own systems, features and certain pillars of the design system and collaborate on delivering them to consumer teams.

• Develop components for Ore UI, using TypeScript and React.  

• Evaluate other teams’ implementations of screens using the design system components.

• Improve ways of working and technical best practices within the team and with consumer teams.  

• Balance performance, user experience, and developer experience in every decision.
   

Qualifications 

• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

• Experience of working in product teams using modern web development stack.

• Proficiency with TypeScript and React.

• Be quality driven, with great attention to detail and design knowledge.

• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Nice to have 

• Interest in games.

• Experience of creating and working with design systems.

• Experience with Figma.

• Experience with C++.

• A background in design or strong aesthetic sensibilities.
