Flow Analyst

Summary: This role focuses on analyzing firewall flows and ensuring data quality and security compliance across various segments in the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze firewall flow extracts for completeness, quality, and deduplication.

• Map flows into target categories based on IP analysis.

• Prepare a comprehensive Flow Kit for site/segment maintenance.

• Identify trusted/untrusted flows and provide recommendations based on security policies.

• Collaborate with the Information Security team for validation of untrusted flows.

• Map flows with approved Security Exceptions and update trackers.

• Raise Service Requests in the ITSM tool for flow implementations.

Key Requirements:

• 3-4 years of experience with Fortigate and FM expertise.

• Knowledge of firewall log analysis, NAT, and VPN.

• Proficiency in tools like SIEM, packet capture utilities, and ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow).

• Understanding of Zero Trust principles and security policies.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Excel/Power BI for reporting.

• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

• Attention to detail in analysis and reporting.
