Financial Controller (m/w/d)

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee the financial activities of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance with specific expertise in accounting practices and financial reporting. You will play a crucial role in budgeting, financial forecasting, and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Proficiency in Power BI and Excel, along with excellent communication skills, are essential for enabling effective stakeholder engagement.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts throughout the year.

• Conduct budget reviews with key stakeholders.

• Participate in month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations ensuring accurateness and timeliness.

• Performing analyses, deviations, findings and interpreting trends requiring management's attention

• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.

• Document business processes to strengthen internal controls.

• Develop and update financial reporting in Power BI Dashboard.

• Act as a business partner for other teams to support process improvements of processes.

Key Requirements:

• Hold a degree in business studies and a recognized finance degree (CPA, Controller Akademie, or similar).

• 3+ years of experience in a Controller role.

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures according to HGB.

• Experience with the month-end process.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advanced MS Excel skills.

• Advanced Power Query and PowerPivot skills.

• Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.

• Excellent written and verbal German (C1) and intermediate English (B2).

• Proactive personality that gets things done.
