ETL Tester

Role: ETL Tester

Industry: banking

Location: 1-2x/week in the office in one of the locations: Warsaw/Gdansk/Gdynia/Lodz

Type of contract: B2B

Duration: long-term cooperation

Remuneration: up to 155 zl/h netto+vat

Requirements:

• Expertise in this role (ETL Tester)
• Fluent in English: both spoken and written
• Knowledge of testing theory (e.g. ISTQB)
• Strong SQL knowledge (we are working on databases mainly)
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming using C# level intermediate or (at least on basic with willingness to learn)
• Openness to manual testing, not just automation
• Analytical skills to understand complex logic of user stories.
• Experience in CI/CD (creating/modifying and using pipelines)
• How ETL testing is different from functional testing
• Knowledge of: ETL test validations and checks / Quality checks
• Experience on ETL testing
• Knowledge on ETL tools and processes
• Data analysis
• Ability to understand business process
• Experience with test management tools like JIRA and qTest
• Ability to work independently and prioritizing tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

• Experience working in Scrum
• Writing Test Scenarios
• Executing Test Scenarios
• Identifying and tracking defects
• Understanding of database design
• Writing advance SQLs to check record counts, data truncation, invalid datatypes, NULLs, and data integrity
• Knowledge of basic Database objects and relational data model
• Ensuring Quality coverage of relevant test phases across data migration project
