Summary: The position of DevOps Engineer involves implementing observability tools and migrating AKS to EKS while maintaining Kubernetes clusters across Azure and AWS. This role supports operations within the Bioenergy sector, contributing to providing heat and power with a focus on carbon capture initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
Supporting AKS to EKS migration efforts.
Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters in AWS (Azure is an advantage), ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Building CI/CD workflows based on GitHub Actions and transforming existing Azure CI/CD pipelines to GHA CI/CD workflows.
Enhancing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices for automation and operational efficiency.
Acting as a Kubernetes and IaC Subject Matter Expert, providing technical guidance and best practices.
Supporting Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) to optimize deployment pipelines.
Cooperating with architects, security teams, and platform engineers.
Key Requirements:
Experience with EKS and AKS.
Significant knowledge and experience working with Kubernetes and Docker.
Familiarity with Azure and AWS for efficient support of migration efforts; experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform.
Comfortable working with GitHub Actions.
Knowledge in Kubernetes observability area (Grafana Labs solutions or others).
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have:
Experience in AKS to EKS migration.
Acquainted with Purdue Model for OT.
Working knowledge of JFrog Artifactory and Helm charts.
Worked in Agile in a diverse, international team, familiarity with SAFe.
