DevOps Engineer (IaC/AWS Platform Automation) (RFP Managed Services)

Our client is a Swedish technology company that provides self-serve advertising platforms for publishers. Their solutions allow advertisers of all sizes to buy, manage, and optimise digital ad campaigns directly, without intermediaries. By automating the ad sales process, the company helps publishers increase efficiency and revenue, while offering advertisers greater transparency and control. The company works with global clients such as Disney, TripAdvisor, and Bloomberg.

The company is moving its environment from BigQuery to AWS to simplify operations, meet SOC 1 compliance requirements, and build a secure, automated, and auditable infrastructure for its new data platform.

Key elements of the project:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Ownership: End-to-end infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or CloudFormation (including VPCs, IAM, Redshift, Glue, DMS, S3, and KMS) ensuring consistent, reproducible deployments.

• CI/CD Pipelines: Implement Git-driven workflows using AWS CodePipeline or GitHub Actions for infrastructure and ETL code, with integrated testing, approvals, and deployment traceability.

• Compliance Automation: Configure AWS Config, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub to automate compliance checks and generate SOC 1 audit evidence.

• Monitoring & Operations: Build centralized logging and dashboards with CloudWatch, implement automated cost tracking, and ensure proactive monitoring of system health.

• Handover Package: Deliver fully documented IaC modules, CI/CD templates, and compliance logbooks to ensure operational readiness and audit traceability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of DevOps or platform engineering experience with a strong AWS focus.

• Expertise in Terraform modules, modular CI/CD pipeline design, and IAM least-privilege configurations.

• Strong understanding of SOC 1 change-control processes and audit evidence requirements.

• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for deployment automation and orchestration.

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or SysOps Administrator certification preferred.
