Data Governance Specialist
This role focuses on information governance and data protection controls for Microsoft Copilot, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Purview and Sensitivity Labels. The role ensures that Copilot processes only approved and correctly classified data.
What can you expect with us?
Information Classification Architecture: Designing and maintaining a Copilot-ready classification taxonomy and implementing it in Microsoft Purview.
Copilot Governance Controls: Configuring and optimizing Sensitivity Labels to control Copilot access and data extraction.
Automated Classification: Building and maintaining auto-labeling policies for existing and newly created data.
DLP Controls for Copilot: Defining and managing Data Loss Prevention policies to protect sensitive and regulated information.
Compliance & Audit Readiness: Monitoring and documenting governance controls using Purview Audit Logs and eDiscovery.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with IT Security, Compliance, Legal, and business stakeholders.
What do you bring to the table?
4+ years of experience in Data Governance.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Purview and Sensitivity Labels.
Solid understanding of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and hands-on DLP experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in Information Governance, Data Protection, or IT Security is a plus.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g. Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, DLP) are beneficial and may substitute formal education.
