Cyber Security Specialist

Introduction & Summary:

Join our team as a Cyber Security Specialist focusing on Internal Threats. This critical role requires expertise in large-scale Cyber Security Insider Threat Programs, with a strong emphasis on practical experience in using various Cyber Security tools. The successful candidate will have documented experience in the financial sector and a robust understanding of risk management within Cyber Security.

Main Responsibilities:

The selected individual will perform a documented assessment of existing Cyber Security tools focusing on internal threat prevention, protection, and detection capabilities.

• Conduct a documented assessment of existing Cyber Security tools used for internal threat prevention, protection, and detection within the organisation.

• Analyse the effectiveness and utilisation of current security tools supporting the Insider Threat Program.

• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in the current cyber security tooling and processes.

• Provide expert recommendations for adjustments and enhancements, ensuring they are clearly prioritised based on risk and business impact.

• Support and coordinate the implementation of recommended improvements to strengthen insider threat prevention and detection capabilities.

• Work closely with Cyber Security, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure alignment with organisational security standards and regulatory requirements.

• Provide subject matter expertise in large-scale Insider Threat Programs and cyber security tool ecosystems.

• Prepare documentation, reports, and technical recommendations for stakeholders and security leadership.

• Contribute to improving security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities within the organisation.

• Participate in security assessments, workshops, and discussions with internal stakeholders to evaluate current security posture.

• Ensure compliance with financial sector security standards and regulatory requirements within the EU.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Cyber Security Insider Threat Program as a Subject Matter Expert.

• Hands-on experience with various Cyber Security tools.

• Strong senior technical and risk management skills.

• Documented working experience in the EU financial sector.

• Subject to Security Vetting Operations, including enhanced background checks and security vetting interviews.

Nice to Have:

• Cyber Security certifications.

• Proven track record of education in the Cyber Security field.

Other Details:

This role requires onsite work at the client’s office in Poland 3 days per week, specifically Warsaw. Proficiency in the English language is essential.
