Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud IT Engineer to contribute to the development of cloud infrastructure across various environments. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in defining and enhancing our cloud strategy while leveraging critical skills in application development on large-scale cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation scripting.

Main Responsibilities

The Cloud IT Engineer will execute a range of tasks integral to our cloud initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the development of technology for cloud infrastructure.

• Helping build the cloud foundation and supporting application upgrades to the cloud.

• Monitoring and analyzing metrics within our cloud environment to drive improvements.

• Developing automated strategies for incident prevention and response.

• Collaborating with other teams to align solutions with business goals while mitigating risks.

• Analyzing technical requirements related to cost optimization and performance.

Key Requirements

• Solid experience building applications or services on a large-scale distributed cloud platform.

• Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform.

• Strong knowledge of automation scripting languages (Python/JavaScript/Go).

• Exposure to Container Platforms.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines including security management.

• Knowledge of networking security and design principles, including firewalls and private networks.

• Experience with REST and OPEN APIs.

• Understanding of Cyber Security mechanisms.

• Familiarity with DevOps best practices such as monitoring and automation.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in the financial industry or other restricted sectors.
