Business Analyst (Intermediate)

The Business Analyst will play a key role within the organisation’s Design Authority, supporting the development and evolution of enterprise architecture across business, technical and information domains. The BA will be responsible for identifying and analysing core business requirements and processes aligned with the Design Authority’s objectives, driving organisational improvement, enabling innovation and promoting standardised solutions across the enterprise.

This role requires strong analytical capability, experience in process mapping and documentation and a proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels.

Other Details
This position requires only 1-2 days per month in the office located in Ballina, County Mayo.

Main Responsibilities
The BA will be responsible for:

• Leading the review and analysis of organizational business intentions and information needs.

• Enabling innovation by increasing the capacity for transformation.

• Standardizing solutions to mitigate risks across the organization.

• Conducting feasibility studies and producing business models.

• Preparing detailed specifications for solution implementation.

• Collaborating with stakeholders to create Functional Design and Process Design documents.

• Identifying and documenting business requirements and stakeholder needs.

• Assisting in improving requirements efficiency through automation and simplification.

• Managing business requirements and process mapping.

• Introducing new tools and templates for best practices in business analysis.

Key Requirements
The successful candidate must possess:

• Practical experience in leading requirements gathering (UI/UX, Functional & Non-Functional).

• Expertise in creating customer flows, journey maps, and service blueprints.

• Experience with high-level and detailed business models, feasibility studies, and solution appraisal.

• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies in a business and digital transformation context.

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in core business analysis tools.

• Experience in a DevOps environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
