BMC Helix ITSM Developer

Summary:

A BMC Helix ITSM Developer customizes and develops solutions on the BMC Helix ITSM platform. The primary objective is to enhance IT service management through effective use of development tools and methodologies, focusing on creating both codeless and complex coded solutions to meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Customization: Modifying forms, workflows, business rules, and UI components in BMC Helix ITSM/ITAM.

• Development: Building new applications and services using codeless or code-based methods in Innovation Studio.

• Automation: Implementing automation, orchestration, and integrations.

• Integrations: Creating APIs and connectors for external systems (e.g., using Python, REST/SOAP).

• AI/ML: Developing agentic AI use cases and prompt design.

Must Haves:

• Strong experience with BMC Helix ITSM and ITAM customization.

• Proficiency in Java, Python, SQL, and Unix Shell Scripting.

• Strong ITIL knowledge and understanding of ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB).

• Experience with Developer Studio and Innovation Studio.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with APIs creation and external system integrations.

• Experience in automation and orchestration using industry tools.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in SaaS environments.

Other Details:

• Environment: Works in SaaS environments using tools like the BMC Helix Client Gateway and Port Access.

• Development Approach: Hybrid development approach using both codeless/low-code and traditional coding methods.
