Azure Cloud Engineer

Introduction & Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to manage and enhance the existing Azure infrastructure for our cross-border team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of Azure networking, the capability to independently organize chaotic setups, and a commitment to automation via Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Candidates should be adept at problem-solving and prepared for a long-term engagement with potential for impact.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as the Azure networking expert, managing VNETs, peerings, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Private Links.

• Support various internal teams to enhance their Azure operations.

• Independently structure the environment to improve chaotic setups.

• Focus on automating daily operations and maintaining IaC.

• Assist in maintaining Azure Landing Zone architecture.

• Configure security access using Microsoft Entra, RBAC, and PIM.

Key Requirements

• Deep general understanding of the Azure cloud platform.

• Solid networking skills with expertise in VNETs, NSGs, Azure Firewall, etc.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).

• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps practices.

• Understanding of identity governance (RBAC, PIM, Microsoft Entra).

• Effective communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure Landing Zones.

• Knowledge of Azure policy design.

• Familiarity with FinOps and cost optimization strategies.

• Experience with a data-oriented Azure tech stack.

Location: Taastrup working onsite min. 3-4 days per week and the rest remote
