Summary: The Infrastructure Project Architect plays a pivotal role in leading the migration of the private data center estate to Microsoft Azure, ensuring technical program management and infrastructure integrity throughout the transition process.
Responsibilities:
Deliver the full migration of private data center workloads, including Microsoft Windows VMs and Microsoft SQL Server databases into Azure.
Drive delivery across all infrastructure streams, covering networks, firewalls, storage, and Azure landing zones.
Coordinate technical teams, architects, Agile squads, and product owners to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Maintain execution momentum, remove blockers, and ensure team productivity.
Provide leadership, ownership, and hands-on direction throughout the program life cycle.
Participate in technical discussions on network configurations and migration strategies.
Manage migration waves and workload sequencing while ensuring operational readiness.
Align project goals with business objectives through effective stakeholder management.
Key Requirements:
10+ years of hands-on engineering experience in networking, infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering.
Proven experience in migrating Microsoft Windows VMs and SQL Server databases to Azure.
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, compute, storage, and networking.
Leadership experience in large-scale data center migration programs.
Expertise in Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
