Automation Test Engineer (Playwright)

The Automation Test Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software products through systematic testing and automation. Their primary goal is to develop and execute tests that validate software performance and reliability within an agile development environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Test Design & Execution: Develop detailed test cases and scripts based on requirements; perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

• Automation: Build and maintain automated tests using popular web testing frameworks like Cypress and Playwright, and integrate them into Azure pipelines.

• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Performance & Security Testing: Conduct load, stress, and security tests using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure test coverage and quality standards.

• Reporting: Prepare test reports, metrics, and dashboards for stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

• Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies of modern web applications.

• Familiarity with QA tools and frameworks (Playwright, Cypress).

• Hands-on experience with fluent programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure pipelines, GitHub Actions).

Nice to Have:

• ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred.

• Mature and pro-active approach to Quality Assurance during each phase of SDLC.

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in agile teams.
