Application Specialist - Workday Integrations (at least 6 months; located in EU)

The Application Specialist in Workday Integrations plays a crucial role in the ongoing maintenance and development of global finance systems, focusing on Workday Financials integration. You will collaborate with the Workday integrations team, business analysts, and process owners to ensure excellence in financial integrations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform development, testing, deployment, and support of integrations and reports.
- Learn to develop, configure, and test technical integrations for the Workday Solution using Workday Studio, Workday RaaS Integrations, Enterprise Interface Building (EIB), Complex Calculated Fields, Workday Custom Reports, Web Services, and XSLT.
- Partner with business and technology colleagues on integration projects, assessing the end-to-end view of business processes and middleware.
- Ensure comprehensive unit testing and integration testing.
- Monitor and maintain interfaces between Workday and internal/external systems.
- Manage incidents for inbound/outbound interfaces and perform routine break/fix support and regression testing for updates.
- Understand and follow defined integration/development standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards.
- Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Product Owners, Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate.
What we’re looking for:
- Service desk or ITSM system experience.
- One to three years of system integration or software maintenance or development experience.
- Three to five years of experience in integrations support, maintenance, or development.
- Knowledge of Web Services and APIs (SOAP, XML, XSLT, REST, JSON).
- Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle both planned and unplanned responsibilities.
- Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks independently, providing timely follow-up and resolution.
It’s nice to have:
- Experience with Agile development processes and Scrum framework, knowledge of Jira.
- Knowledge of Workday Integration development.
- An understanding of integration design and testing concepts and frameworks (e.g., middleware, file transfer, transformation logic), Kafka or Mulesoft knowledge a plus.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, macros, and/or SQL a plus.

This position may involve remote work and is anticipated to last at least 6 months. Applicants must be located in the EU.
